Caleb N. Chamberlayne, Director of Game Day Operations/Marketing
Caleb N. Chamberlayne is a graduating senior of WVU sport management with a 3.5 GPA. He is a graduate student for the sport management master program. At the CBYRA, he worked for two years as an assistant to the commissioner for soccer. In 2007, Caleb worked with the Richmond Kickers as the PDL administrator and assisted with game day operations for all PDL W-League and Mens teams. Caleb currently serves as Vice President of the WVU Sport Management Club. Besides playing organized soccer for 13 years, he presently coaches the West Virginia United Soccer Club.
Jamie Kocher, Director of Public Relations/Marketing
Jamie Kocher of Follansbee, WV graduated in 2006 from Brooke High School. While majoring in sport management, the WVU sophomore has maintained a 4.0 GPA to gain recognition on the Dean’s List, President’s List, and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. She also serves as a member of the WVU Sport Management Club and volunteers to coach various youth soccer programs. Jamie plays striker for the WVU Women’s Soccer Team, which won the Big East Championship and made an Elite 8 appearance in the 2007 season.
Gina Lastoria, Asst General Manager/Public Relations/Marketing
Gina Lastoria of Follansbee, WV graduated from Brooke High School in 2003. This WVU senior majors in sport management and minors in communications. With a 3.5 GPA, Gina has been honored on the Dean’s List and President’s List. She has also been accepted in the WVU Sport Management Graduate Program for the upcoming fall. In 2007-2008, Gina interned with WVU Sport Marketing while also serving as the Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator for the WVU Sport Management Club. Gina is also a member of National Exemplary Students in Service (NESS) Phil Epsilon Kappa Honor Fraternity.
Michael Minnich, Media/Public Relations/Marketing
Michael Minnich is in his first year as Director of Media Relations and broadcaster for the West Virginia Illusion. He served as broadcaster for the West Virginia Mountaineers, calling both men’s and women’s soccer teams for four years, the last three as play-by-play announcer. He has also called WVU baseball, women’s basketball, hockey, and men’s basketball in addition to serving as a public address announcer for both soccer teams as well as gymnastics, swimming, baseball, wrestling, and volleyball. He served as sports director at WWVU-FM for a year and a half, and still volunteers there. Michael is a 2006 graduate from West Virginia University with honors and hails from Keyser, WV, where he played on Keyser High School’s first-ever team as a freshman and started for KHS’s only team to win a conference championship in soccer as a senior.
Zach Eckert, Game Day/Public Relations/Marketing
Zach Eckert, a West Virginia University senior, is from Gettysburg, PA. While majoring in sport management, he has maintained a 3.7/4.0 GPA. Currently, he is a graduate student and graduate assistant of facilities at WVU. Zach serves as President of the 2007-2008 Sport Management Club. He is also a member of the WVU School of Physical Education Visiting Committee and Phi Epsilon Kappa Honors Fraternity. Zach received the 2007-2008 Most Outstanding Senior Sport Management student and Dean’s/President’s list recipient. In 2007, Zach interned for the Harrisburg City Islanders men’s professional soccer team and worked with team operations. He played soccer for 12 years, and his CPYSL team won the Pennsylvania State Cup in 1998.
